“The day of check-up in France, the reason why I and my mother Tamara went on a French vacation to the city of Le Mans, was the most memorable one of the entire trip, and full of good news.
On the D-day, I had to forget about my morning jogging routine and traditional light breakfast after it, as I had to arrive at the clinic on an empty stomach. The clinic is a huge complex in southern Le Mans, and is especially famous for its success in robot-assisted surgery. Deputy director Carolina greeted us in the reception area and guided us to the outpatient department. There, people who undergo the checkup can pass all the medical examinations in one day and receive a medical conclusion in the evening. The stay in the hospital and meals are fully included in the check-up cost. Thanks to helpful girls from Medifrance Solution, we easily overcame the language barrier and were able to discuss our well-being with the French experts.
We were led to separate cozy rooms equipped with everything you need for relaxing leisure. Overall, the stay in the clinic during the checkup is very relaxing: you just wait in your room while doctors and specialists come to you by turns and just do their job in a very professional manner. Soon after our arrival, the nurses came to me and my mother, to take blood for the bloodwork, and then we were finally able to have breakfast.
Blood analysis is a fundamental stage of checkup diagnosis. According to it, the experts define “vulnerable” areas and prescribe an individual program of additional surveys for each client. For example, in my case, the blood test showed the need to undertake stress electrocardiography, my mother, however, was required to undergo additional echocardiography, which was not included in the standard checkup package. At noon we were both invited to computed tomography, or as they call it in France, body scanning. The procedure took only 15 minutes, and after another 10 the doctor was ready to share his opinion on the results. Fortunately, in our case, there were no deviations to be found.
The full check-up lasted about 8 hours. It ended with the consultation of my personal doctor who gave her verdict based on all the examinations. It was a pleasant surprise that I and Tamara both appeared to be almost perfectly healthy. Despite my very active and sometimes adventurous lifestyle, the doctor said that I was healthy as an astronaut. My mother also surprised French doctors with good results for her age (she is 74 years old).
Since in the modern world even a completely healthy person cannot be perfectly healthy, we were given a few vitamin prescriptions and sleep routine recommendations, which for me, a person who constantly changes time zones due to a busy touring schedule, were very relevant.
We were given the entire package of check-up documents with the doctor’s opinion so that we can use these documents in any other clinic in case of necessity. On that positive note, we ended our day in the clinic and the first checkup in my life, which has proved to me again that taking care of yourself and physical activity are vital for good health and a good mood!
I would like to thank the clinic for the excellent reception and Medifrance Solution team for the excellent organization of our stay in France.”
